Yeah it’s cool that VT’s like we have no seniors but if you continue to age them down all of a sudden a “junior” is gone and you are like why? Case in point Napoli. Not a fan of this, a little disingenuous I think.

I think the way to do it is age them up and if they decide to use that extra year of eligibility, great, call them a RS-Senior or Graduate Student at that point. Difficult on the fans who don’t understand why a junior isn’t returning but not transferring.

And then the way around the awards is, I think several leagues in different sports had a “newcomer” of the week so it could be a transfer or a 2nd year freshman and still had freshman of the week as well.
