It’s impossible to say if it’s true or false.


PFF had him as the #1 cover corner in 2019. What if he played in 2020 but had a bit of a slump? Or got injured during the season? There are plenty of scenarios in which he doesn’t opt out of 2020 and it hurts his draft stock.

There’s just no way to know. What we do know is that he opted out and was a r1 draft pick. Hard to argue against his decision.
