Are you talking real shutters? Like the ones that are on hinges with

latches that are used to protect you from storms? Or are they merely a stylish look on say, a Colonial house with vinyl siding? Gotta have more details.

In my time, I have only run into the latter, and I have opted to just get new shutters at HD and be done with it. But if you have a historical place, or even one cool enough to have actual functioning shutters, I would do it right.
