I love Caleb’s story and I am rooting for him in

every way possible. But to an NFL GM who does research and doesn’t use the sports media for draft information, I think he looks like a little bit of a project or at least someone you may need to see more of. We only really saw him for 1 season as a lockdown corner and I’m not sure I would go with a full season at that. His coverage skills are great against college competition. He will be going up against the best of the best week in and week out at the next level so I don’t expect him to be a lockdown corner in the NFL especially not right away.
Also the tape doesn’t lie - his tackling skills are still average at best. He doesn’t seem to like to tackle and he has a hard time getting guys on the ground.
Couple that with opting out last year, the back history, and the fact there are probably at least 2-3 other corners who are more complete - albeit without his athleticism - I can understand why he may slip.
Again I am rooting for him to be drafted high and do well but I won’t say I don’t understand.
