Totally different sports. Apples and oranges


Football is a physical sport that requires a lot more depth. Top programs can usually pull away in the fourth quarter due to depth. It's also a different sport in that scoring can be done through offense, defense and special teams.

Many or most basketball games are decided in the last couple of minutes and not all teams play a physical style of basketball. Some bball teams have a bad shooting night and they won't beat anybody that night. To make the NCAA final four, teams have to win four games and those are tough odds.
