yes, ‘80, you are realistically and optimistically correct. as a ‘75 VT

grad I find myself in approximately same situation. my “mad Hokie money” source has departed, and short of an unknown rich uncle bequeathing me a small fortune I do not anticipate any major gifts or contributions - much to my sadness.
i loved giving to special causes and the Reach for Excellence campaign certainly qualifies. but doing what I used to appears to be a mirage.
i’ll do what I can but am more into ambassadoring these days than dolling out the bucks like I used to.
i’m hoping the next generation of Hokies will pick up some of my slack and boost it above what I did.
