I played a pick-up game vs Shane Nichols in Radford back in the early 2000s


when he was in high school. Probably the best guy my buddies and I ever faced in a random pick-up game. We just couldn't do anything with him. He was draining 3 after 3. We put a guy known for tenacious defense on him, and he just blew by him for layups. I was impressed.

After the game we asked him if he was getting any looks from colleges and he said he had some D-1 offers. We were like "uh yep, that figures." He later ended up going to Wofford. Hope his brother does well coaching the Highlanders.
