I see your points... but they points I made are valid
Yes, a few ACC Teams (Clemson, Miami, FSU) have the gravitas to schedule games with ND. But we are talking about maybe 1 home/home series per decade or two. ND wants variety and they can almost any team they want for a home/home or Shamrock game. The ACC arrangement has greatly increased the number of ACC teams playing ND every year. This has already been factored into the contract - it would be LESS if ND was not a part of it.
I don't see how the ACC "loses money" when ACC teams play at ND. It's no different than when VT plays at Nebraska or Ohio State. The home team's conference gets the TV rights. Every team plays road games.
Just like the TV deal... the current ACC situation has ND baked in already. If you feel it did not improve from prior deals, I would contend that the Bowl Situation did not degrade in part due to ND's potential inclusion. I agree that the secondary don't factor since ND will never drop that low. But it likely kept some of the top tier bowls in the fold. Bowl are the true Achilles heel for the ACC - bowls want teams with large alumni bases (or fan bases) that travel. After that, they want teams that draw TV ratings. ND does both things very well.
