could have committed to a spring game no fans in the stands, fully televised, and still had the effect of reaching out to the fans.

Granted, 2/3 of the fun of the spring game is the tailgating and being around Hokie fans, BUT I have watched televised before when i couldn't make it up there. It STILL creates a buzz among fans, and anyone who thinks VT can afford to miss any opportunity to create a buzz among fans has REALLY not been paying attention!

But again, I put that squarely at the feet of the AD and the President
