Calling Fuente a bad hire is disingenuous, not firing him may not be

Fuente was absolutely a home run hire at the time, perfect fit for VT and as seamless a transition as you could ever hope for.

Fact of the matter is Fuente has won 1 coastal championship and finished 2nd twice in his 4 "normal" seasons. Last year everyone gets a pass given all we went through with coaching changes and COVID.

Now recruiting you can't really defend, but we also have no idea how that will turn out but it looks bad. This isn't Minority Report though, and you can't say for sure we're going to fall off a cliff so that's a really hard firing to make.
