OK. Just interested. Sure, I'm not happy we lost, but I look at 8+ ERA


dudes line and a couple things stick out. Pitch count in the mid-70's over 6IP. Pretty low for today's college game. 4 K's over that 6IP. So that tells me balls were in play, but our success rate on balls in play was a lot lower than usual. So honest question, what's the reason for that. Hitting out of bat counts? Chasing bad pitches? Hit into bad luck? Good defense?

It's nuanced, right? Maybe they were focused and the other guy was just better on a Tuesday. Or they mailed it in.
