I don't really see what it is that we are doing differently from anyone else. What is our brand? What do we do at an elite level compared to our competition?

We hear about being a "development program" but don't hear a ton about what that's supposed to mean. What do we do to make our guys better? What is it that stands out about our program.

Under Beamer (especially the early days), our brand was attacking defense and elite special teams. Even later as STs weren't always elite and other started to copy a few of the things we did (which somewhat ironically was a copy of what Bobby Bowden did at FSU... but taking it a step further), the brand endured.

More importantly, we were ELITE as a Strength and Conditioning program. That's not "sexy" so to speak so we didn't have a brand necessarily built around it, but we were absolutely elite in the regard. That emphasis and execution on developing an elite S&C program was the true secret sauce that put the VT program over the hump.

Right now, what is that secret sauce? What do we do different? What do we do at a level far beyond what our peers do? I don't think there is an answer to this question.
