It doesn't make matters any better when you play in the ACC with 7 of it's 8 teams in the Top 20. Tech played competitively in it's first few games but the team had to take 15 days off because of Covid. When the team returned from their 2-week Covid break, they faced #1 UNC who crushed a Tech team missing 6 starters. Tech finally returned to full strength but lost to #14 Jacksonville by a goal. Tech also lost a close game to #16 Louisville. One of Tech's star players, Kayla Frank, left the team for personal reasons. Tech also lost starter Taylor Caskey. WLAX has slowly been improving as they finally get back some team chemistry that they lost during the 15-day Covid break. Kennedy Lynch, a Maryland transfer who was a Top 50 high school player, had to sit out this season. Between the Covid break and absence of 3 quality starters, it's been a disappointing season. I still have faith in John Sung but the program hasn't improved since the 2019 season.
