If that is true, then what does it say about the ACC when the other
power conferences have shorter GORs (if at all)? Perceptually, I am not sure the ACC's situation can be spun in a good light when it doesn't appear to be apart of the norm.
Even if the contract has look-in clauses built in, ESPN has no incentive to sit down at the negotiation table prior to 2036. ESPN owns the contract, so the fate of the contract rests in its hand. As a result, it is likely the other conferences will increase their payouts multiple times before the ACC gets a crack at its first attempt.
