Nice "In the Circle" interview with Kirin Kumar
Kirin came to Blacksburg with Coach D'Amour and spent two seasons here and she is now the head coach at Miami of Ohio, where she has the Redhawks rolling with 11 staright wins (8-0 in the MAC) and a 17-6 overall record that includes wins over Tennessee, Louisville, and two over Georgia Tech.
At the 28:50 mark of the interview, she is asked about her time at Virginia Tech and has some really nice things to say about both the team and Coach D'Amour ("fantastic coach, can recognize talent, and knows how to win at a high level").
Glad to see she is doing well.
At Miami, she replaced Clarisa Crowell, who left to become the head coach at Penn State. Clarisa was a 3 time all conference performer at VT and is a member of the Virginia Tech All Sports Hall of Fame.
