Beating the pompous snots on up I-81 appears to have subdued some realities we likely face this fall.

Hey, I refuse to believe in a country of 330 million people we can’t recruit and roster 20 good players per year. Just have to find them, and in the case of a Doug Nester when you do, don’t lose them.

And before the “facilities” and “budget” crowd retort - don’t. Alabama, Clemson, and teams 3-20 can only take 400 kids, so you still have plenty to target and sign, and it seems we used to be able to do this better than today. That’s my opinion.

There has to be 5-10 stud kids that Fu, Ham, Cornball (like an Asian menu I know) can go sit in a family’s living room and convince that young man and his parents Virginia Tech is their best option.

Hope that happens. Need it to happen. Critical I think.
