I think it was the right approach


From what I heard, he was there on time, was overweight by 2lbs, and then spent time getting his weight down. He spent too much time such that he missed the deadline to weigh in.

That is totally on him as the rules and times are clearly communicated and its the same thing that he has probably had to do for 14-15 years.

If it was at a youth, high school, NCAA or another USA wresting event, he wouldn't have the platform to make this an issue as the door would have been shut immediately.
