Everything you say is true.....


but, I think it should be at best a joint player/coach decision and more likely just coach. My opinion below and not saying pro's is same, is that you need to give development opportunities to other staff for depth down the line. With 2 games already salted away this is the perfect opportunity to steal some innings for development and hold your ace as an insurance policy depending how game progresses.
