They basically come from the premier wrestling school in Alabama, Thompson HS. Thompson has won something like 8 out of the last 10 state titles and the now participate in 7A, which is the largest classification in the state. They (Thompson) completed a threepeat as state champs since moving up to 7A but finished runner up this year. Also, an FYI, there is another Latona that competes for Thompson, his name is James, must be Sam's little brother. He is a back to back state champion and has at least 1 more year, not sure if he has 2 years left.
