I've had 4 lumbar laminectomys and one microdisectomy over past 30 years

For the microdisectomy, I was in surgery around 7am and walking out of the hospital around noon. It was about 2 years ago. Back hurting worse than ever now, so next step is fusion in about 2 weeks.

Back surgeries are crap shoots trying to relieve pain. I''m 62. Fusions take away a lot of your flexibility, but hopefully the pain will be less. 20 something year olds can bounce back a lot better, but as my doctor tells me, you never come back 100% after any surgery.
