Q: for any Hokie hoops fans in the know: coming into the season, all the

hype was that VT finally had dependable big men, starters and bench, seemingly inter-changeable parts. Then we see Mutts and Aluma playing way many minutes and the other 3, injuries notwithstanding, hardly playing. And when they do play, they look like some tall guys that got rounded up at the rec gym that have never practiced with the team. Not very active away from the ball, slow feet on D leading to one foul after another, looking clueless/confused and almost disinterested on O.,,,very little, if any, positive (a RB here or there) impact vs quite a bit of drawbacks (TOs, moving screens, etc.). Question/thought: is CMY's system so complex that only the main big guys get enough reps at practice that they, alone, understand it all well enough to be trusted to play well? Or is it a basketball IQ thing? Just seems odd, like there must be some underlying reason that CMY doesn't play them enough to spell the starters significantly.
