Saw on 247's message board that...
the FSU pitcher threw a pitch past Hurley and told him something not very nice at all. Next pitch Hurley goes yard and as he's rounding the bases says the same not very nice comment back to the pitcher. Assuming that's correct, I'd imagine it quite possible that the umps missed the FSU pitcher starting it the pitch before, and I could see why they wanted to get in Hurley's way. I think Elbin was pointing out to the umps that the pitcher started it the pitch before.
I love the fight in our coaches and players. It's a fine line there but I think they're toeing it just right. Really enjoy watching them play. [Post edited by Diehard Hokie at 03/15/2021 7:20PM]
