Streaming service or PPV are not likely for big time sports


The leagues want the guaranteed revenue and to pay it, the broadcasters need not just the diehard fans, but the casual fans eyes on commercials. For every Alabama vs Auburn there are 20 MSU vs Arkansas that generate revenue in the current model that would be nothing in a PPV model.

The majority of fans with no rooting interest in a specific game will not pay for it, but will watch it if it's on. That is a huge portion of the audience.

Don't know what the future model will look like, but the one thing I do know is a lock....you will pay more for it than you are paying today.
