I can envision Larry Scott saying "See, I told you so."
One of his goals for the PAC12 Network was for Amazon or Netflix to pick it up.
ESPN is saying that the reports that ESPN has completed the deal for Monday Night football is premature. This article is reporting $2.6 billion for Monday Night Football. Earlier articles suggested that the NFL was wanting more than $3 billion. But the ratings for NFL are way down, so Disney was balking at that much of an increase. Disney can stream on ESPN+ just like Amazon can. It sounds like Disney wants to show some of the games on ABC rather than ESPN.
I'm not sure of the level of interest Amazon would have with College Sports, but after Professional Sports get locked up, I think what's left is a turn to College. The ACC, SEC, and Texas are locked up by Disney. I sort of expect ESPN to make a play to lock up the Big XII. Fox is backing away. Fox may make a play for the B1G. It's uncertain who wants the PAC12.
