Duke remains red hot and looks like they may challenge Virginia Tech and Florida State for ACC superiority. The Blue Devils went 4-0 this weekend, including a 5-1 win over #18 South Carolina. Combined with an early season 8-4 win at #5 LSU, Duke now has two Top 20 wins on their resume. The 16th ranked Blue Devils are now 12-1 on the season.

Florida State went 3-0 over the weekend with a sweep of Florida Gulf Coast and a win over Southeast Louisiana. The #15 Seminoles are now 10-3 on the season.

Clemson (9-2) and NC State (8-2) easily swept their respective series from Gardner Webb and Elon.

It’s safe to say North Carolina (5-5) had a bad weekend, going 1-4. UNC managed just two hits in a doubleheader loss to #5 Alabama (2-0 and 4-0), but also lost to Troy 2-0 and Memphis 5-4. Their single win came against Troy (8-2).

Louisville (3-6) lost two games to #6/#5 Florida (5-1, 2-0). That means 4 of the Cardinals losses this year are to Top 10 teams - two each to Alabama and Florida.

Notre Dame (7-5) swept 3 games from Villanova, but split with Liberty.

UVA (6-5) lost to JMU, then swept 3 games from George Washington
