agree that we are never going to compete with Alabama so is it worth throwing millions more into the program at the expense of other sports with a bed case scenario of maybe being a top 15 program?

There seem to be two schools of thought. One that football trumps everything and should be favored at all costs even to the detriment of other sports. And another that would prefer to see the school competitive in as many sports as possible. I can understand both sides but I don’t know that one is “better” than the other. My only question with regards to football is if pumping a bunch more money into it isn’t going to result in any demonstrable increase in us winning a title then is it worth it. Is it worth it to spend $50 million (made up example for the sake of argument) to go from being a top 30ish program to a top 15ish one? Or from a top 50ish to a top 25ish?? That’s what I’m not sure about.
