Since the Big 10's last championship in 2000, here are the totals by conf

This is by conference at the time of the game (Maryland was in the ACC, SU was in the BE, etc):

ACC: 8
Big East: 6
SEC: 3
Big 12: 1
American: 1 (UConn was in the Big Big East in 2011, but in the American in 2014)

This is by CURRENT conference (Maryland is Big 10, SU is ACC, etc):

ACC: 9 (We lose Maryland's 2002 title, but gain titles from SU and Loserville)
Big East: 5
SEC: 3
Big 10: 1 (Maryland is now Big 10)
Big 12: 1

Incidentally, in terms of dominance, we're not that far behind what the SEC has done in football.

SEC:11.5 (Giving LSU and USC each .5 for 2003)
ACC: 3
Big 10: 2
Big 12: 2
PAC 12: 1.5 (Giving LSU and USC each .5 for 2003. Also giving the PAC 12 one for 2004, even though it was vacated)
Big East: 1 (Miami)
