I know women's programs do it...I did it for VTs womens team in school


Your article mentions that Oregons team MIGHT do it...last year.

Thats not really a thing in mens basketball because who would that be?

You think Fuente is going to give up some of his athletes to play a sport they dont know?

What value add would that be to the mens team? They have no clue about basic foundational defensive concepts and youd need to spend weeks just teaching them a play or two.

Womens sports use them because even if you dont know what youre doing, regular student men can be bigger, stronger and as athletic as the womens team, giving them a decent look without risking injury to current players.

There is no equivalent for mens basketball.
