Kelly said all the right things to keep from burning any bridges
with the ACC. However, his statement does raise an interesting question. How much of Notre Dame's "pride" in being able to play a "national schedule" every year is tied to the size of the TV contract? Has that always been the case or is it a more recent phenomena? Particularly when you think about the changes to the college athletics landscape which includes how much money schools can earn in football, the role TV/conference networks, and football recently becoming the driver of the money train.
