>>> This guy raises his hand. You and I have been preaching for years
Go to a 20 team ACC, including UT (and some friends), as well as ND. UT will benefit from East Coast exposure (eg: Dallas Cowboys), and the ACC can go to 4 quads which will allow us to play actual rivalries each year (eg: UVA, Miami, etc). We can then spread out our non-rivals more regularly every 2-3 years consistently (eg: FSU, Clemson, BC, UNC, etc)
I still think it would have happened had the Big 12 not gotten an exemption to play a championship game despite not having divisions, and the SEC and B10 screwed the ACC by allowing it - despite not allowing the ACC flexibility to choose their own champions (eg: quads)
Having the following football teams in your conference would surpass any other conference IMHO, even the SEC:
Tier 1: Notre Dame, Texas, Florida State, Clemson, Miami.
Tier 2: UNC, VT, Louisville
Tier 3: Everyone except WF and Duke
Plus, if we added some other members like Texas Tech, or Oklahoma, or West Virginia... it's just icing on the cake. [Post edited by jesuisvtguy at 02/01/2021 6:58PM]
