I officiated at a very tough sectional in Indiana and my first championship match was at 126lbs and involved the #2 and #3 ranked wrestlers in the state who wrestle at rival high schools on the west side of Indianapolis. Both very, very good young wrestlers who have won at the youth levels.

It was 2-1 at the end of the 1st period with the #3 wrestler with a late TD and an escape

In the 2nd, #3 starts on the bottom, gets the escape to go 3-1, gets taken down but then escapes. 4-3 going into the 3rd period.

In the 3rd, the #3 wrestler starts on top and rides the #2 the entire period except with 10 seconds left, I spot a locked hands and call it as time runs out. Technical Violation, 4-4 and we are going to OT.

In OT, the #2 wrestler gets a TD to back for 5 points.

Given that the sectional was at the #3 wrestler's HS and the locked hands was not obvious, the place is going crazy as I was taken to the table to ask what I saw.
