The ACC apparently needs to court ND, the Big Ten and SEC do not


The ACC is not some benevolent association that extends charity out of the goodness of its heart.

The fact is that the ACC has coveted ND since the Eighties and Gene Corrigan.

The ACC is in a bit of a position of weakness versus the SEC and Big Ten and so believes that it needs ND to bolster it.

The ACC helped out ND last year, "schemed" the system to do so, because it believes that it is in its best interests to do so.

Was it the ACC's idea or did ND force the ACC to do that?

It worked out fine for both. ND was involved in the top TV rated game, in fact all five of the top ACC games involved ND.

It was simply a business deal that helped both sides. Take care.
