The worst case of NCAA overreaction that I can remember is
Indiana point guard Steve Alford in 1985. It appears that Mr. Alford posed for a calendar that a sorority was creating to raise money for charity. As I understand it, Mr. Alford was a volunteer (no pay), was fully clothed and had no suggestion of doing anything wrong. The NCAA should have praised him. Instead, they suspended him for a game.
