I mentioned this concept a few years ago on this board purely from

a TV contract perspective only. I would not have east coast teams playing west coast teams on a regular basis. But from a TV contract perspective you would have - a lot better Olympic sports content (and NEVER forget that content is king - JS forgot that in his current deal with ESPN); if they combined it would allow for a renegotiation of the current god awful deal that we currently have; for all intents and purposes a 12 hour live broadcast window; would bring two of the “smaller” and less influential conferences on par with the SEC and B1G
