The program was in idle


For years prior to whit and fu. Agreed, they haven't been public enough with their plans, if they indeed have them, to remedy said situation.

I can see standard bowl appeal as not being as much a draw for recruiting as it once was. Effectively every game is nationally televised at this point and unless its the CFP, bowls don't have the weight they once did.

I was heartbroken when the team opted out of a bowl. I've alwayd felt VT was a "run what ya' brung" style program that blue collar work was always there. I know the generations have changed, but it hurt to know that was the last national beacon we had; even if it was devalued in today's environment of bowl oversaturation. Hell, my Dad has basically sworn off the program because of it.

I'm still here, I'm still jumping....but maybe a bit more unenthusiastically :/
