Today’s Clemson-Notre Dame game will be only the 4th time since the AP poll era started (1936) that two football teams, both ranked in the top-five, will play each other a second time still ranked in the top-five in the same season. In each case the team that lost the first matchup won the second matchup by at least 21 points.

Also marks the 7th matchup between two top-five ACC teams in ACC history (and the first in the ACC conference title game).
Note: these are facts only if you consider Notre Dame as an ACC team (which I just can’t bring myself to do).
