I sat beside him on a plane once; it was a couple of days before he was named co-offensive coordinator. We chatted a little before takeoff. I had two kids at Clemson at the time. He had a Clemson polo shirt which prompted the conversation. He never told me he was a coach, just that he worked at Clemson. I recognized him from the press conference a couple days later.
