Interesting, I wonder if they did a poll on who they want as 16
came to the ACC. (Remember this is "if", no need for the they will never come post)
I have heard the following "if" they joined, but I would like to hear what the ND people think of these and possibly others:
Navy, gives them another OOC game if they want it since Navy game taken care of in conference. They are located in a fertile ground for academic and athletic students that can afford to go to Notre Dame. Navy in other sports does fine except for basketball and the ACC doesn't need another basketball power house.
Texas, they are located in another fertile ground for academic and athletic students that can afford to go to Notre Dame. I remember when being at the VT-ND game in South Bend I met more alums from Texas than any other state. Texas has watched the Cowboys in the NFC East and Texas A&M in the SEC prosper big time. They don't even have to be that good and eyes are still on them. Very much like Notre Dame.
Cincinnati, they are located in another fertile ground for academic and athletic students that can afford to go to Notre Dame. They also give them a partner in the mid-west if they want one.
West Virginia, rabid football fans with rivalries in the ACC. I would like them, but I am not sure about ND on them.
