All wanted to be number one at the expense of the conference.

SMU had to experience huge recruiting penalties (and never got back)
A&M had hude recruiting violations
OK conduct problems with switzer and company

Arkansas so the handwriting and jumped with the first invite to the SEC.

It was a hot mess, and its a shame.
