Actally, there is a train of thought that closing accounts->


is not good for your credit. It all seems VERY stupid to me.

I always found it the height of irony that once you get to the point where you really don't NEED (or in my case, use) credit that you get all you want and credit scores are through the roof..BUT, you need to use and pay the balance every so often or you are dinged as well

VERY strange system..I think it is more aimed to protect against bad credit risks than at people like you and your wife ( and many of us) who don't need it or much use it....
