I understand that argument.
Here is how I think it’s different. In order to field a highly competitive football team, you’re going to need to convince about 50 really good ballers to come be a part of your program. It takes a team.
In bball, one stud and couple of solid dudes can get to the final four. All you have to do it convince one stud to come to your program .
Carmelo at Syracuse. D. Wade at Marquette. Morant at Murray State.
One super star and some guys can be REALLY good.
That to me is the difference. A bagman or just one quirky kid who wants to blaze his own path can give you a good bball team.
No football player has that degree of impact on a football team’s success. Too dependent upon others.
