termination is a failure For all parties involved, whoever you are and however you look at it.
From the employer’s perspective,
All the resources invested down the drain,
Position to be filled, mistakes to be corrected, fires to be put out, the list goes on.
From the employee’s perspective,
He/she most likely will need to look for a new job while carrying the stigma of termination (unless he/she chooses to Deliberately lie or conceal Employment history).
You can give the outgoing employee a generous severance but that by no means Change the nature of the situation.
