I reject the "You never want to be the man replacing the man" axiom.

JF had every opportunity to succeed. He didn't fail because of Beamer's success. He failed because he hasn't recruited well, and by a general lack of inspiration and creativity. Any rational observer knows that the program was on the decline in Beamer's last years. It won't be like someone taking over Alabama if Saban retires this year.

I don't know much about Healy. I'd be fine with him coming in. But spare me the mascot heads, dancing, and taking his shirt off. Just give me someone who can recruit and coach. Winning breeds confidence. All the other stuff is just a Vaudeville show to me. I want toughness and creativity--and one is not the enemy of the other.
