Martin was president for maybe 20 years.....ex Navy guy. The State let him get away with his dictatorial leadership for way too long before they finally had enough complaints to bump him to Chancellor which was a figurehead position with no power. Eventually resigned. Don Dedmon from Marshall took over and righted the ship, so to speak.
