I loved my time in the burg - I grew up outside of Cville. I can understand its not for everybody. Most of the top tier kids are from super city NOVA and Eastern shore areas....nothing like Blacksburg.

Its a huge change. On the contrary, the small town kids in rural areas may be looking for the change to a city...not a town.

It gets cold! The wind is relentless strolling across the drillfield.

I also still actively claim that Blacksburg is a drinking town with a football problem. Not sure if that mantra still holds.

Add in the facilities, money, blah blah blah.
