Here is my opinion of not all but many NCAAF players...

A tremendous percentage of college football players today are a bunch of entitled crybabies. Players of this sort have been told how wonderful they are for their entire football career. Thus, they have overly inflated egos, and are probably highly obnoxious.

Case in point...how about the article on a few Penn State players by ESPN. Talk about a program spinning out of control, the accusation of one player reporting that a teammate said, "I am going to Sandusky you!"

Football back in the day was a totally different animal than it is today. No way the candy-ass behavior of these entitled players would be tolerated in the golden age of football. The same is true of many young people today. Some understand the meaning of words like honor, duty, service, discipline, and humility. Many do not. And the way college football has become a business and life and death to fans and boosters, universities and coaches have to cater to a bunch of primadonnas.

The best college coaches today let the players know what is acceptable and what is not from day one. All other coaches are a bunch of pantywaisters.

Maybe I feel this way due to our team not doing well this year, but I'm pretty sure I am right about a majority of players, high school, college, and pro. Their parents did not raise them well, and when their short college or pro careers are over, they are just going to whine about how they were underused, overused, and so on.

In closing, there are many quality student athletes and coaches in college football today, but there are just as many losers who need to be run out of town enough until they realize that all the hype around them isn't woth jack sh_t.

We need more reference to coaches and players from back in the day...
