MY addressed most of our deficiencies with the transfer portal
We all knew we'd be a really bad rebounding team with little depth and few scoring options. There's a reason we were dead last in tempo for much of last season, that was by design. We were competitive because we finished 4th in the country in turnover % and minimized possessions. We were also surprisingly effective on the defensive glass and well above average from deep.
MY masked the depth issue with his system and leaning heavily on the hot shooting of Nolley to start the season.
We didn't have a real contributor taller than 6'7 last year, that's all you need to know. When you don't have that you have to pack to paint to prevent a layup line and give up the perimeter. You also don't have the depth to keep up with teams that shoot hot, and rebound go long which makes it all that much harder on the boards.
This team has more size, depth, experience, rebounding pedigree, inside game, and the ability to score from inside the arc.
