I hope that is the truth. But regardless of the real conversations going on behind closed doors, I’m not sure his response would change much. It’s not like any athletic department that has cut sports really hinted at it beforehand. I think there are many ACC programs just waiting for one of their peers to cut a sport and set the precedent:

With enough time personally spent working in P5 athletics, it is heartwarming to hear that education is the number 1 priority. So genuine...
