VT has PLENTY of all to beat teams it should like that.

To compete with Clemson, Miami, UNC, and FSU when they rebound? Absolutely. VT is extremely far behind (not Fu’s fault), getting further and further behind, and getting b-slapped every yr for that leadership failure.

But these things are not holding VT back from perform better than it is and winning at least 8+ in what is consistently a cupcake schedule overall. Blaming money for losses to teams not named above is just an excuse.

I have ZERO sympathy for Fu. He’s banking 4 mil a year with seemingly no real pressure or urgency to actually earn it. He has this program by the balls and secured his grip with the supposed threat to Baylor (which I don’t believe was all his choice frankly).

He should’ve hired better recruiters to compliment his weakness. Are JH and TnT a solution? Eh we’ll see. So far zip, but hey like you say gotta give them a fair shake.

Would’ve expected to see SOME kind of bump or excitement though, and so far absolutely nothing.

If this staff can’t get it together next year, then it’s time for VT to take serious steps to correct. Can’t sit around for 10 yrs. Dangerous time for the future of this program right now. Hope VTs leadership is up to the task.
