Unless you have inside knowledge, you don't know that he doesn't inspire...

He could inspire plenty inside the construct of the players. That's a small circle and that's the way he likes to keep it. Last week he was a ACC COY candidate, this week he needs to go? If you felt the way you do above last week after the 3-1 start then okay.

That said, you're not going to get Fu to leave. That is, unless someone else hires him which is entirely possible. That said, your point about the donor base and Whit's direction is very important. We don't give enough and Whit isn't asking the base to significantly step up. The drive for 25 and other programs are good but not enough.

the other problem we have is we have too many Olympic sports and Whit has no intention on discontinuing any of them which ultimately ties our hands. We have 3 problems...

1) We have less money donated than other schools and therefore...
2) We have a lower recruiting budget than other schools and
3) We only spend 33% of our recruiting budget on football. Clemson spends over 60%

In short, there is a cap to what we can hire for coaches and what we can spend to get recruits. that's why you're seeing the dip in recruiting. We are roughly 40th in recruiting spend and are recruiting around the 40th best class. We're getting what we're paying for.
